The HS-453DX features a modern set-top design and appearance to fit alongside your existing home theater devices. The HS-453DX provides a wealth of connectivity to ensure all your different needs, including USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C & Type-A port and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0/1.4 dual output, 3.5mm line-out and more. The HS-453DX also provides an accessible hard drive layout, making it easier than ever to add and remove 3.5-inch hard drives.
Uncompromising performance and speed
Powered by an Intel® Celeron® J4115 quad-core 1.8 GHz processor (burst up to 2.5 GHz), with 4GB/8GB DDR4 memory (up to 8GB dual-channel memory), and supporting SATA 6Gb/s drives, the HS-453DX delivers high-performance read/write speeds and maintains high speeds even with AES-NI encryption enabled. The HS-453DX also provides dual M.2 2280 SATA SSD slots to configure SSD caching to further improve the performance. 10GbE connectivity is also provided with a built-in 10GBASE-T five-speed port (supports 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M) that allows you to use existing Cat 5e, 6 or 6a cables for instantly enjoying higher network speeds.
Transfer massive media files with high-speed 10GbE connectivity
With 10GbE connectivity, transferring and managing media files is much more efficient. Recently-encoded video and music files can be quickly transferred to the HS-453DX via 10GbE connection. (If you are looking to upgrade your network environment to 10GbE, QNAP also provides a variety of accessible switches, adapters and other solutions).
Smoother media viewing with SSD caching and SSD Over-provisioning
The HS-453DX features a Hybrid HDD + SSD structure. As SSD prices continue to fall, you can flexibly allocate applications to SSDs, set up a SSD cache, or use Qtier™ technology to automatically move frequently-accessed files to SSD for the highest access speeds. With support for software-defined SSD RAID extra over-provisioning (OP), the HS-453DX enables you to allocate additional OP space (1% to 60%) to optimize SSD random write speeds and to extend SSD lifespan. Your file backup and multimedia entertainment will be smoother than ever!
Complete control over system status and data security
QNAP Notification Center integrates all notification settings of the NAS and its applications into a single app, providing central management and greater convenience. The Security Counselor also scans the HS-453DX for potential weaknesses and provides recommendations to improve security.
Safeguard your data with backup and snapshot protection
QNAP provides a reliable, flexible backup & disaster recovery solution. With snapshots you can fully record the system status and data and quickly recover to this status if data is lost.
Easy Photo Management with QuMagie-Enabled AI Automated Photo Categorization
QuMagie brings you a brand-new photo management experience. By integrating an AI deep-learning algorithm, QuMagie enables facial recognition, object identification, and geography tagging of photos on your NAS. Similar photos are grouped together in the AI Albums (i.e., People, Things, and Places). Other useful features include a built-in timeline scroll, customizable folder covers, and a powerful search tool, providing you with the ultimate photo management and sharing solution.

The HS-453DX centrally stores data and files, and supports SMB/CIFS, AFP and NFS protocols for file sharing across Windows®, Mac®, and Linux®/UNIX® devices. Coupled with Qsync (a utility that turns a QNAP NAS into a safe, high-capacity data center for file synchronization), any file uploaded to the HS-453DX will be made available for all linked devices, such as computers, laptops and mobile devices.
