Intelligent Power Management Features SCMP (Smart Crises Management / Protection) SCMP is a GIGABYTE patented feature that will automatically force the system’s CPU to enter ULFM (ultra-low frequency mode for minimum power consumption) when the BMC is alerted to a PSU fault or error (such as power loss, power surge, overheating or a fan problem). This feature will prevent shutdown in systems with less than 1 + 1 PSU redundancy when one PSU is lost. Management (GSM) is GIGABYTE’s proprietary multiple Srv. remote management SW platform, available as a free download from each GIGABYTE Srv. product page. GSM is compatible with either IPMI or Redfish connection interfaces, and comprises the following sub-programs: GSM Server A SW program with an easy to use browser-based GUI to enable global remote monitoring and management of multiple GIGABYTE servers via each Srv. node’s BMC. GSM CLI (GBT Utility) A command-line interface program to enable global remote monitoring and management of multiple GIGABYTE servers via each Srv. node’s BMC. GSM Agent A SW program installed locally on each GIGABYTE Srv. node that retrieves additional node information (CPU/Mem/HDD/PCI/…) from the OS and passes it to the BMC. This information can then be utilized by GSM Srv. or GSM CLI. *GSM Agent is currently compatible with Avocent MergePoint IPMI 2.0 BMC firmware, but not yet compatible with Megarac SP-X BMC firmware. GSM Mobile A remote Srv. management mobile APP, available for both Android and iOS. GSM Plugin A plugin that allows the Usr. to manage and monitor GIGABYTE Srv. nodes within VMware’s vCenter. Automatic Fan Speed Control To achieve the best cooling and power efficiency, GIGABYTE servers are enabled with automatic fan speed control. Individual fan speed will be automatically adjusted according to CPU, DIMM, M.2, HDD, and GPU temperature sensors. When BMC detects a temperature change at a particular location, the corresponding fan speed will be changed accordingly. Certified Ready with SW Partners Being a member of key SW alliance partner programs enables GIGABYTE to rapidly develop and validate joint solutions, enabling our customers to modernize their data centers and implement IT infrastructure and application services with speed, agility, and cost optimization. Support Various Computing Accelerators GIGABYTE servers have been tested and validated across a range of workloads with various computing accelerators designed to deliver high levels of performance for deep learning, high performance computing (HPC), enabling data scientists, researchers, and engineers to tackle challenges that were once impossible. NVIDIA-Certified Complex AI workloads, including clusters, are becoming more common and system integrators and IT staff must quickly adapt to the changing technology. In order to improve system compatibility and confidence, NVIDIA has introduced the NVIDIA Certified Program that validates servers based on HW and NVIDIA NGC Catalog’s SW. Currently the NVIDIA Certified systems focus on NVIDIA Ampere architecture and NVIDIA Mellanox network adapters, but the program will expand. As well, customers that are familiar with NVIDIA NGC Sup. Services can use the services for NVIDIA Certified. NVIDIA NGC Ready Server NGC (NVIDIA GPU Cloud) is an online, free to use platform which features GPU accelerated containers, a container registry and SW for deploying and running these containers. New NGC containers are published Mth and offer the latest features and superior performance on NVIDIA GPUs, can be used with multi-GPU e multi-node systems for scale-up e scale-out environments, and feature Sup. for Docker e Singularity runtimes as well as VMware vSphere. Supercharged with NVIDIA V100 or T4 GPUs, this GIGABYTE Srv. has been fully validated and is ready to be used with NGC. NGC containers can be quickly and easily deployed onto this Srv. to run GPU-accelerated workloads for deep learning, machine learning, and HPC. NGC takes care of all the plumbing so data scientists, developers, and researchers can focus on building solutions, gathering insights, and delivering business value. Being NGC Ready gives data center managers the confidence to deploy this Srv. knowing that it can be quickly set up to excel at a wide variety of Cuda-X accelerated applications. Optional direct EntP. grade Sup. is also available from NVIDIA to further ensure peace of mind.
